Seattle Botanic Gardens

Where plants, people, and place connect

Welcome to Seattle Botanic Gardens, a new nonprofit organization where visitors can experience the connections between plants, people, and place and practice the care that helps all flourish.

Formed through the unification of the Arboretum Foundation and the University of Washington Botanic Gardens, Seattle Botanic Gardens builds on a 90-year partnership to strengthen our mission and impact across the Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle Japanese Garden, and Center for Urban Horticulture.

Our mission is to deepen relationships between plants, people, and place through understanding and a commitment to shared stewardship. Across our three locations, visitors will continue to find opportunities to explore, learn, reflect, and gather, with even more ways to connect with plants, build community, and foster a sense of belonging.
